Frequently Asked Questions

We've Got Answers.

Everything you need to know about giving and receiving surplus produce.

Does Hurry Up Produce handle transportation?

No. We connect donors and takers, but all pickup and delivery arrangements are made directly between the two parties. Takers are typically responsible for arranging pickup.

Who is responsible for food safety?

Donors and takers are. Hurry Up Produce is a connection platform only — donors and takers are solely responsible for complying with all applicable food safety laws, handling requirements, and local regulations. See our Terms & Disclaimer for details.

Is there a fee to participate?

No. Hurry Up Produce is free for donors, charities, and people in need — there's no cost to register or to use the platform.

What types of produce can be donated?

Fresh surplus food of any kind — including produce (fruits, vegetables, leafy greens, citrus), bakery items, prepared foods, restaurant surplus, catered food, dairy products, and other wholesome food items. Post what you have, the quantity, and how long it will be available. Takers can browse listings and choose what best meets their needs.

How quickly should I respond to a donation?

As quickly as you can. Fresh produce is perishable, and every listing shows an "available until" window. Reaching out early gives you the best chance to arrange a pickup before the window closes.

Can I schedule recurring donations?

Yes — arrange it directly with the other party. Once a donor and taker connect, many set up a standing weekly or monthly pickup between themselves. Hurry Up Produce doesn't manage schedules; it simply makes the introduction.

💚 Together, we can reduce waste and feed communities. Thank you for being part of the solution!
